Add or Subtract Days From a Date

Choose any starting date, then add or subtract days, weeks, months, or years. The start date counts as day zero, so adding one day always gives you the next calendar day. Month and year changes follow the real calendar — including shorter and longer months and leap years — so you do not have to count by hand.

People often use this for deadlines, travel planning, contract end dates, and quick “what day is that?” checks. If you want a common number of days from today, open one of the ready-made links below. For any other start date, use the calculator at the top of the page.

Popular Dates From Today

Jump to frequently needed dates from today — from one week out to about six months. Each card shows the calendar date and weekday so you can open, save, or share the page you need. These listed dates always use U.S. Eastern Time so they match the dedicated pages on this site.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a date calculator?
A date calculator helps you add or subtract time from a date and find how far apart two dates are. You can work in days, weeks, months, or years without counting on a calendar by hand. This free date calculator is useful for deadlines, trips, billing cycles, and everyday “what day is that?” questions.
How do I add days to a date?
Pick a start date, choose Add, enter the number of days (or switch to weeks, months, or years), then calculate. For example, add 30 days to September 4 and the result is October 4. The same steps work when your start date is not today.
How do I subtract days from a date?
Use the same calculator with Subtract. Enter the start date, choose Subtract, and type how many days, weeks, months, or years to go backward. For example, subtracting 14 days from a Friday deadline lands on the Friday two weeks earlier — useful for reminders, notice periods, and working backward from an event.
How do I calculate the number of days between two dates?
Open the Date Difference tab, enter a start date and an end date, then calculate. You will see the total days, plus the same span in weeks and months. For more options, use the full Days Between Dates Calculator. If you need to skip weekends and U.S. federal holidays, use the Business Days Calculator instead.
Does the date calculator include the starting date?
By default, the start date counts as day zero. Adding one day returns the next calendar day — so from Monday, plus 1 day is Tuesday, not the end of Monday. For two dates, we count whole calendar days from the start date to the end date. That means both ends are not automatically counted as full days. If you need both dates included, add one day to the result, or use the full Days Between Dates tool when more options are available.
